TN USFA REC GUIDELINES Local recreational leagues may join our USFA recreational division beginning in the 2009 season.
All leagues MUST use USFA sanctioned umpires. There are no charter costs involved; the yearly sanction fee is $15.00 per league
team registered. (Every 5th team is free!)
The state of Tennessee will be split into 3 geographical
Regions EAST*MIDDLE*WEST then each Region will be divided in Districts. Local leagues will be assigned a district to compete
in for regular season play.
Each league will conduct their Draft or Team assignments as normal and
compete against other leagues in their district. Before competition begins each league must submit a roster and Team Photo
to their regional Director who will make a copy and then forward the original on to the Asst. State Director (which will be
the OFFICIAL COPY)
Each league can at anytime choose an ALL-STAR team from with-in their league to
begin preparation for Regional & State Tournament play. Leagues with 2-4 Teams per age division will be allowed 1 ALL-STAR
Team. Leagues with 4 or more Teams per age division will be allowed 2 ALL-STAR Teams.
Leagues with only 1 team
in an age division may choose to send that team to Regional and State Tournament or seek approval from either the State or
Asst. State director to combine with a neighboring league whom also only has 1 team in an age division.
Players who are signed up in your league but also participate with an ALL-STAR, Travel, Select, or Tournament Team
shall still be eligible for regular league play, at said leagues discretion.
Tournament sites will
be chosen through a blind draw and hosting leagues will be responsible for all costs (umpires, trophies, park rental, *USFA
fee's, etc.) but will earn all profits from said tournament (concessions, vendors, gate revenue, entry fee's)
The
Tn. USFA will welcome a 6-U division that will play by the same rules as the 8-U division and will also be offered at the
State Tournament. These rules may be modified in local leagues only, to allow for ample playing time for all participants
in this division.
